Join a Team

The Coltsville Vintage Base Ball League is all about building community, playing hard but fair, and having fun. It's never too late to join a team! If you're between the ages of 16 and 76, we'd love to hear from you. Check out our recruitment page or contact us if you'd like more information.

Neither the Friends of Vintage Base Ball nor the Coltsville Vintage Base Ball League discriminates against any person regardless of gender, age or race. All skill levels are encouraged. Persons under the age of 18 must have application form signed by parent or legal guardian.

Become an Umpire

Don't have the time to commit to a full schedule of play? We always need umpires and, unlike in the modern game, the umpire is a position of status and respect. There's only one umpire on the field and he (or she) stands to one side of home plate. You get to dress up in really cool clothes and have players address you as 'Sir.' We offer our umpires a small stipend for their service.

Volunteer

We need volunteers on and off the field. On game day, help to set up and staff the hospitality tent, sell vintage soda pop, talk with visitors and be a part of the living history program at Colt Meadows.

Off the field, we can use help with:

• distributing posters and literature • coordination of special events
• participation in education programs • community outreach
• fundraising activities • sponsorship development
